Keyboard is an SL88 Studio, has velocity 1-127, when struck comfortably hard it maxes around 100, it takes a hammer to reach 127.
In the plugin virtual keyboard, you have the top of the key down to the bottom of the key with varying velocity.
What I would like is a global adjustable velocity curve similar to what Pianoteq and others have so that you can tweak what the maximum and minimum thresholds are.
I would like to be able to set say 98-100 for the maximum output in Dexed and also to vary the effort for the lower threshold as well.
Right now a lot of the patches are punchy and bright on the virtual keyboard but are not able to be produced that way on the controller I have which maxes out in any comfortable sense at about 2/3 to 3/4 of the virtual key impact effect.
What might be cool is horizontal bars to slide against the virtual keyboard as the reference that would set the top and bottom thresholds so you could slide it from 127 down to say 100 or whatever you like so you can make lower effort for maximum "strike" to trigger the patch.
This would open the usability across pretty much any controller.
