- 5 cups of flour
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp baking powder
- Mix all ingredients together
- Add milk until thicker than batter
- Add blueberries as desired
- Bake at 375°F until golden brown
- 1 pint H2O
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Bring to a boil
- Thicken with cornstarch and water
