Containerize Fedora build. #118
Comments
Ignoring container-package-fedora.sh for these purposes, since it depends on my local configuration. |
Any specifics? Docker/Podman/OCI-whatever is easier to deal with when it comes to public build services. Pretty much done here for the initial tests https://github.com/gbraad/fedora-wsl-genie. This was pre-v1.35. However, the issue for Fedora is that it might be smarter to use Copr as the distribution method. As an example: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/gbraad/genie/ is build on the Fedora infra, hosted... and only needs a few commands to deploy on EL, Fedora, etc

For the purposes of this issue - well, it's mainly a note to self for me to make a better containerized build I can run & test on my Debian dev machine. My current pair of LXC hacks for this and Arch work well enough for kluges, but I'd prefer something better for the long run. I'm not familar with Copr beyond a quick poke-around just now, but it certainly seems to be the/a good option for distribution builds. |
Probably it will be possible to either use a distgit and/or github action to trigger the build publication to Copr. |
No longer required. |
As above.
