Need to scope the Elasticsearch logs to share what may be going on. |
Yes. Take a look at the /var/log/elasticsearch/resource_cluster.log* and gc.log* files. You can also look through /var/log/messages* to see if the OOM (out of memory) killer killed Elasticsearch because it was using too much memory. That's usually the case when there's a huge number of workers running concurrently and the instance type is underpowered. |

Elasticsearch goes offline on mozart. Needs to be started up again with
sudo systemctl start elasticsearch
.It has gone offline three times in the last two weeks. Symptoms:
