Describe the bug
Cannot create a new sketch if the preferences widget is opened

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Start the Pro IDE
2. Open the preferences widget (File > Settings > Open Preferences)
3. Create a new sketch (File > New Sketch).

Error:

root ERROR Request createNewSketch failed with error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, mkdir 'settings.json/sketch_february4a' Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, mkdir 'settings.json/sketch_february4a'

Workaround: open the preferences widget

Expected behavior
I can create a new sketch.
