ambiguous results in WiFi.status() ?

hi.... what status this function will return if i have both station and softap modes enabled?... or if i have both modes with no clients connected?... or both modes with clients connected?... or with clients in one but not in the other?

maybe it should have 2 status() functions, one for station mode and other for softap mode ... or there is another way to know the currently running wifi modes?
