Support for Nifi 2.X

Hi all,

We have been using Nifi 1.X together with PLC4X for about a year with success.
For a new customer, we are thinking about deploying Nifi 2.x, as they recommend on their website to update as soon as possible due to limited support for 1.X. Do you know if the PLC4X library will still work for those newer Nifi versions?

You can look at apache/plc4x-extras#52 in extras.
Nifi 2.0 requires Java 21. I believe PLC4J would have to support that, so some issue / pr "Support PLC4x with Java21" would have to precede nifi 2.0 support.

PLC4X has no issues with new Java versions.
You could define a new module, that then is only built if Java 21 or newer is detected. I think we have several of these conditional profiles in the extras repo.
