md-select-menu popup is positioned offscreen when md-select is aligned to the left of the screen

md-select-menu popup is opening 32px to the left of the md-select.

if the md-select is positioned to the left of the panel with margin less than 32px, the select options menu will be cut off as you can see in the following images
