Rspec 2.99 was released exactly on June 1, 2014. Current version is 3.4, so the question is: is it viable to still support 2.99 at this point?

I'm asking because Travis is currently set to test 2.99, 3.0 and master. I think it'd be a good idea to update versions there.

Sounds reasonable to me. I think at this point you're doing much more than me on this project so please feel free to move ahead with what you think makes sense. And thank you for what you're doing!

It might be a good moment to clean up the gem if we're going to drop 2.x support. I'll keep this issue open to haunt me at night until I find some time off to think this through :)
