Why not use the official cucumber extension

Probably a silly question but this and the official extension appear to be in feature parity. Why use this one verse the official one? I wouldn't bother asking if this one didn't have 3 times the number of downloads.

In some cases official extension is better, as there are annoying issues in CucumberAutocomplete:

• Which cucumberautocomplete settings should I use to replace a {string} with "" double-quotes when autocompleting a step? Not ("|')[^\1]*\1 or ("|')\1 #470
• Optional parts with whitespace are not matched #292
• Does not recognize alternate text/strings using / #496

This extension exists since the pre 2020 year, although only the latest version are listed marketplace. And it just works, despite some listed issues. So it had more time to get to collect the download count.
