Since Zabbix supports loadable modules, it's possible to do real-time history export into different databases. There's a module effluence created by @i-ky, which allows writing history into InfluxDB. So Zabbix Datasource could use InfluxDB datasource for querying history data directly from InfluxDB in order to improve performance.
