- The motivating problem was a great example of how GAP is useful to research
- Great to work through a research question - much more interesting!
- Very helpful towards new users
- Good pacing and interesting examples
- Useful GAP functionality that I had not seen before
- Clear+informative; some new things that I didn't know
- It was good to see the process of debugging broken down properly
- Love learning how to be lazy! TAB, ESC!!!
- Sticky system; framapad
- Sticky notes system; "code-along" format
- Helpers were very useful to have
- Thanks!
- Towards the end pace was a bit quick (if one wanted to follow everything on personal computer)
- Can be a bit fast at times
- Could go through main concepts at a slower pace
- A list of problems would give those who have used GAP something to do while others catch up
- If you could make a central list of all the commands taught during the lesson (maybe on the Framapad) that would be great!
- In the "Small groups search" worksheet after the
TestOneOrderVariadic
is defined, a functionIsIntegerAverageOrder
is called but it should be the functionTestOneGroup
instead. - Would be useful to see both the text editor and GAP on same screen
- When demonstrating, it would be nice to see the terminal and the windows of the text file at the same time, as I can't always keep up with the typing speed
- Leave text windows (e.g. test files) on board for longer (split screen)
- Copy and paste large pieces of code into Framapad
- More info regarding text editor beforehand
- Nothing to say
