It's great that I can modify the way my data looks in ETU, allowing me to create Markdown, HTML, etc. I'm playing with generating CSV-compatible files. One problem, however, is that I can only save the file as .txt. (Unless I manually change the extension.)

It would be great if the pull-down in the save window included some common text-compatible filetypes, e.g, .md, .html, and .csv.

It's true that I could just manually append the desired extension to the filename. However, this adds extra friction to the process. macOS even adds a prompt, asking me to confirm this choice.
