I now have the pdf of the good practice book from CABI, which we are allowed to use within R-Instat. I am not attaching it, because it is 50 Mybytes. But I would like to share it, so it isn't just on my machine.
If you look on the SSC website there is a pretty good section on the individual good practice guides, which also includes guides and videos on CSPRO and resources on using ODK It is for example here http://www.reading.ac.uk/ssc/resourcepage/guides.php#data. It may not stay long, because the future of SSC is uncertain. It will be on the SSD website "soon", but I am not sure when.
This all fits with the broader use of the software as one resource, but also providing information on other components - including CAST.
What I am not sure is how we do this? If we are distributing R-Instat on USB, then that's fine, but otherwise it could be good to keep the guides, etc separate and also on a website for those who are online. I feel I need a strategy on how to proceed.
