If I drag and drop an Illustrator .ai file into my Photoshop document and add a file extension to the layer name I do get an initial render. But when I transform the layer (scale, rotate etc.) nothing gets updated. I can force a re-render by moving the layer a pixel (which I also don't get: why re-render layers that are just moved?) but it should happen automatically, right? Also, if I right click on the layer and convert it to a smart object I get the expected behaviour. Now transforms also triggers re-renders.

Feature work talked about in https://jira.corp.adobe.com/browse/PS-3334 could cover and address this issue.
