hide the next and back buttons when only one narrative item?

could the next and back arrows be hidden when there is only one narrative item please? I know this sounds a bit strange, but use cases do come up, specifically when narrative is used to swap out a hot graphic at mobile. We do sometimes have hot graphics with only one hotspot, so then at mobile that narrative has inactive next and back buttons, so it looks a bit odd.
