Could we show more detail about routes, with a simple interface like https://busrouter.sg/#/services/43e or https://www.transit.land/map#10.46/52.4708/-2.0789?

Can we detect bus lay-bys?

Is there a stop type in GTFS?
Some GTFS stop names mention "layby"
Are these tagged in OSM?
- Not for one example, https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/12008956264
Try NAPTAN data directly. There are detailed stop types like BCS that might be relevant
