I know I only just joined the ACM; However, I noticed that the website is not incredibly easy to navigate for new users. To rectify this, I propose the following changes:

  • Reformat the about segment to the following:

<.p>Our student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery was established at North Dakota State University in 1974. Since then, the organization has been involved with:<./p>
<.ul>
<.li>Providing services, such as [provide an example]<./li>
<.li>Organizing <.a href=[link to previous competitions]> programming competitions <./a><./li>
<.li>Offering <.a href=[link to page with SIG descriptions]>education and social opportunities<./a> for its members. <./li>
<./ul>
<.p>While most of the members are Computer Science students, the ACM welcomes everyone interested in technology. Thus our chapter also has students in Mathematics, Engineering, Psychology, and other Sciences.<./p>

  • Add a page containing info for each of the SIGs with the intent to recruit new members.
  • Add a photo and a brief message from each of the current cabinet members on the cabinet page to make future members more comfortable with approaching members of the cabinet.

These are all suggestions so feel free to turn any of these down. I am willing to carry out technical end to make this happen, but I need more information from those in-charge to fill in the details.

Thank you for your time and consideration,
Jean A. Eckelberg
