I just started digging into CloudFormation last week, but now I have second thoughts. Terraform may be a better fit, especially if I want to do non-AWS stuff.

I was looking at doing both! On the one hand I want Terraform to manage a multi-cloud deployment (AWS and Cloudflare probably) but on the other hand I really like the capabilities that CloudFormation offers to check the health of my AWS "stack" with new capabilities for looking at configuration drift, etc.

So - I think I'll be looking at whether it would work to define the AWS assets in CF and just have Terraform launch the CF stack. Jury's out!
