I'm trying to generate the certificate to use PIV with firefox. I have a 5 Nano and the following set up:

  • Arch Linux
  • pcscd service is enabled/running
  • udev rules are created
  • Running yubikey manager appimage 1.2.3

The application recognises the yubikey is plugged in and the mode but if I go to applications -> piv -> certificates -> generate it gives me a spinning icon for a couple of minutes then says "Failed connecting to the Yubikey. Make sure the application has the correct permissions"

I've tried running the yubikey-manager appimage as root (Though I don't see why this would be necessary)

Thanks for the report! Could you try running the application as ./yubikey-manager-qt-1.2.3-linux.AppImage --log-level debug and post the output here?
