AI-PAL: Localize AI Phase Picker with Rule-based Algorithm for Generalized Earthquake Detection

  • Usage (see run_pal for example workdir)
    (1) Prepare continuous data into consistent directory structure
    (2) Run PAL

2. SAR (see run_sar for example workdir)

2.1 Train SAR model

2.2 Run SAR picker & PAL associator

2.3 Locate and Relocate SAR-PAL detections

2.3.1 HypoINV absolute location
2.3.2 HypoDD double-difference relocation
(1) two-step relocation: dt.ct and dt.cc
(2) one-step relocation: dt.ct + dt.cc joint inversion

Installation

AI-PAL is a set of codes. All you need is to setup proper Python environment. This can be accomplished easily by installing Anaconda, Obspy, and Zarr sequentially.
