[Converted to Issue] Code blocks should look like code blocks. #5

I have always felt that dark code blocks are more due to personal preference of some to use darker editor themes, sometimes due to the wider range of colours which present themselves better on a darker background. Any form of background colour, and making the code blocks wider, would likely result in the same thing without needing to be higher contrast (as higher contrast really means using a darker background). Higher contrast could also be challenging with some pages which have limited content outside of code blocks, causing heavy "striping" |

IMO these already look like code blocks, though I think they could use an iteration on style… I mentioned the Code Syntax Block on the copying discussion, I like the look of that one. I tried a few tweaks locally - changing the font, font size, line height, and giving it a background color. Very rough draft, and I'd rather use one of the existing Prism themes & tweaking for accessible contrast, but that relies on using the syntax plugin.

It's typical for code blocks to be given more contrast with the document to indicate that you are looking at code. It helps users identify code quickly when scanning a document.
