If you edit a page via the Pages panel in the Site Editor, then click the "Edit template" button, and from there click the W button to exit full-screen editing, then you find yourself in a mixed view where the page details appear in the sidebar, but a template is displayed in the frame:

My expectation is that clicking the W button would exit the template edit experience.
