What problem does this address?

Step # 2 in #30322

Currently, there is no mechanism to warn a user they will lose all unsaved data when they navigate away.
With the mechanism proposed in #30420 it will be possible to list all unsaved items to a user when they navigate away.

What is your proposed solution?

Add a browser dialog to inform a user they will lose data. There can be a full list of unsaved items in a dialog.
