Issue when calling winetricks from zenity in an proper desktop environment. #2314
Comments
Can confirm that this happens for me as well.. I encountered it mainly while using Lutris installers that utilize latest winetricks or as far as I can tell it might also happen after switching Lutris runners (e.g. wine-GE to Proton-GE etc) & reattempting to use winetricks. |
Thanks for the report. I've noticed some issues with winetricks-test as well, after recent wine changes (#2312). Can you try austin987@232c62b and see if that helps? |
This works, thank you for your quick move. |
Hello, first of all. Happy new year and thanks for the previous work.
i do have an bash zenity frontend which calls winetricks via a simple
winetricks
command. There are issues when trying to execute it from XFCE and GNOME so far.
It works fine when using something like IceWM, so maybe there something do get lost in this desktop environment?
When reverting #2278 this is fixed.
The errors about /usr/local/bin/wine can be ignored for now these are there because our wine is wrapped but thats not an major issue since winetricks plays along well (still)
