Background

Paloma 5-second block time means that Paloma pigeons are unable to relay messages fast when mempool monitoring shows a state change. We propose reducing Paloma's block time from 5.5 seconds to 1 second by lowering the commit timeout to 1 second.

Done when

  • Lower commit timeout to 1 second
  • Test on private testnet
