Upon trying to install Vanilla OS onto my desktop, the installer window will randomly close after connecting to WiFi on the network section of the setup. There is no way that I know to bring it back, I attempted to reinstall a few more time but I continued to run into this issue.

The workaround that I found was to open the gnome keyboard settings and map a hotkey kgx. This will launch the Gnome terminal. Then you can run the vanilla-installer from the command line.

Thank you for this. I was trying to install Orchid to my XPS 13 9343 and the installer kept crashing. The workaround worked.
