Open Folder Function Crashes the App

Type: Bug

From the File menu I select Open Folder. The folder selection dialog opens, showing some path below my home directory. If I (in the path field) click on my home folder, the App crashes without a trace.

I already tried uninstalling all extensions. No change.
Apparently duplicate to #2133
I confirm, that removing the only .json file in that folder solved the problem. Renaming the file into xxx.json.tmp was not sufficient.
