Multi cursor insert problem

Describe the bug
Im trying to use the gb mapping and select everything but i am stuck in visual mode. If I press i nothing happens. I am still inside multi cursor visual mode, and cant insert anything. Help?

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to a word
2. Press gb to select the occurences you want to select
3. Press i to go to insert error
4. See nothing happening

i in visual mode doesn't put you in insert mode in vanilla vim, so I'm not sure what the behavior you're expecting is.

I and A work as expected in single cursor visual mode. They cancel multi-cursor, and there's an existing issue for that bug (#4202).

I also experienced being stuck in insert mode, until i found that the extension somehow had been disabled..
