I want to store some sensitive device data in the NAV database via Seed Database attributes facility. But they are all show up in the end-user interface.

It would be great if they could be hidden any way, for example if the title starts with double underscore.

I agree that this could be useful.

But, hidden attributes can mean one of two things for the ipdevinfo interface:

  1. Does hidden mean: Display
Attribute value
__password ********
  1. or does it mean: Do not show that an attribute named __password exists at all?

IMO, first option is more comfy, but second option is more secure.
