1. Base Group

1.1 Main changes since GSIM version 1.2

The Base Group provides features that are reusable by other classes to support functionality such as identity and versioning.

For the comparison with the previous version of GSIM (v1.2), the main changes to the model include:

  • GSIM information class added: Software Agent
  • GSIM information class removed: Event Change Tuple
  • Relationships added: between 1) Change Event and Process Step; 2) Change Event to Identifiable Artefact, 3) Identifiable Artefact and Referential Metadata Subject, 4) Identifiable Artefact and Referential Metadata Attribute

2. Business Group

2.1 Main changes since GSIM version 1.2

For the comparison with the previous version of GSIM (v1.2), the main changes to the model include:

  • GSIM information class added: Reference Document
  • GSIM information class names changed: Core Input (was called Transformable Input in v1.2), Core Output (was called Transformed Output in v1.2)

3. Concepts Group

3.1 Main changes since GSIM version 1.2

For the comparison with the previous version of GSIM (v1.2), the main changes to the model include:

  • Relationship updated: 1) between Data Point and Population (this relationship existed between Dimensional Data Point in v1.2); 2) between Data Point and Unit (this relationship existed between Unit Data Point in v1.2); 3) "has measure/attribute/identifier" relationship between Data Point and Instance Variable replaced with "populates"
  • Composition relationship added from Instance Variable to Data Set

4. Exchange Group

4.1 Main changes since GSIM version 1.2

For the comparison with the previous version of GSIM (v1.2), the main changes to the model include:

  • GSIM information class added: 1) Register; 2) Exchange Specification; 3) Dissemination Instrument;
  • GSIM information class removed: 1) Administrative Register; 2) Statistical Register; 3) Protocol
  • GSIM information class renamed: Exchange Instrument (previously Exchange Channel in GSIM v1.2)

5. Structures Group

5.1 Main changes since GSIM version 1.2

For the comparison with the previous version of GSIM (v1.2), the main changes to the model include:

  • GSIM information class added: Information Structure
  • GSIM information class removed: 1) Dimensional Data Point; 2) Dimensional Data Set; 3) Unit Data Point; 4) Unit Data Set
  • GSIM information class names changed: Data Record (was called Unit Data Record in v1.2)
