Shouldn't links to those outdated projects be removed from download page?
https://github.com/irungentoo/toxcore
Why won't @irungentoo update the readme and direct people to this repo? People still open issues there.

https://github.com/abbat/pytoxcore - in readme author says:

This project is abandoned due no any progress in libtoxcore for a year - unfortunately seems Tox project is dead :(

What is he talking about? Hasn't he heard of this repo?

https://github.com/ze-tox/tox-capi
https://git.ricin.im/Ricin/tox-vapis - dead link
https://github.com/codedust/go-tox
https://github.com/alexbakker/SharpTox

This one had commits this year, but is still outdated:

I think he means to return and continue the work sometime in the future, I guess that's why.

What is he talking about? Hasn't he heard of this repo?

Not sure, perhaps he means no major progress, which would be true for both repos.

This one had commits this year, but is still outdated:

Why do you say that it's outdated? That's what Antox currently uses.

If some of those bindings repositories haven't had commits for over a year they still should work fine, it doesn't mean that they are abandoned, it might be that they are just complete. Language bindings are just API wrappers from one language to another, they only need to be updated when toxcore API changes, doesn't happen often.

@SkyzohKey what do we do with https://git.ricin.im/Ricin/tox-vapis ?

I thought they needed to be updated with every toxcore release. My bad.

@nurupo Here are the files, they still works fine with current toxcore so no deprecation yet. I plan to make a branch for c-toxcore vapi's as I still has interest in using ToxCore with Vala. :)

Shouldn't Ricin be removed/replaced with https://github.com/TheToxProject/client? It's discontinued, isn't it?

It should. It's no longer updated and uses old toxcore that is not maintained either. In order for a new client to be on the website, it needs to meet those requirements: https://tox.gitbooks.io/tox-client-standard/content/index.html
