Minecraft suffers from some issues with VRAM leaks, and this seems to largely be an issue in packs with a lot of textures. Adding the mod that fixes exactly that would be pretty cool I think.
Personally, I run the pack at a stable ~400fps on an arc a770 which is great of course. The second I go exploring 8+ chunks out and come back, I drop down to an average framerate of 12. Installing the mod I linked fixed everything lol
