Bug with 1.18.1 version of Curios error code "Invalid Player Data: Connection Closed"

whenever I try to edit the curios slots then leave the game after editing any of them it prevents me from joining back on that server. the error code that pops up is "invalid player data: connection closed" the only way I've found to actually fix this is by deleting my player data file and going back into the server with absolutely nothing and my curios slots are reset to the normal slots the mod provides upon start of a server with the curios mod.
