Go to line dialog

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When the carret is not visible and you want to scroll to the currently selected line, you can use the menu item "show the selection".
When you open the goto line dialog, the line number field is automatically fed with the actually selected line number.
This is redundant and useless.

Describe the solution you'd like
Instead, feed the line number field of the go to line dialog with a more interesting value.

This more interesting value needs thinking.

For that, we can keep track of recently selected places in the text, maybe 5 values.
We record in that stack the selected ranges, but only when the elements are separated by more than say 100 lines.
Then the goto line dialog can cycle through these values with the up and down keys
or its text field can have an attached menu with this values.
