Although I think relatively little-used, participant code names are quite useful; especially in schools tournaments where for child/data protection reasons it is important to avoid publishing participant names.
Currently team codes have the following display options:
Do not use code names
Use real names everywhere, and show code names in tooltips
Use code names for public; real names with code names in tooltips for admins
Use code names for public; code names with real names in tooltips for admins
Use code names everywhere; do not use tooltips (real names show in some admin views)
I think it would make sense to adopt (at least some of) these for participant names as well. For example in the current mode if you set "use code names everywhere" it becomes almost unmanagable for CA teams to manage the feedback process. Alternatively it would be nice to be able to enable/disable code names for adjudicators and teams separately.
