https://get-scatter.com/ has as a stated goal to support more (many?) cryptocurrencies, whereas MetaMask only seems to want to support Ethereum. We want to support more currencies, so switching would make sense.

Right now the blocker is that we can't connect to Scatter from our extension GetScatter/ScatterWebExtension#138

It looks like purely using the scatter extension is being deprecated, we'd have to ask users to install their desktop app.

We've discussed extension vs. desktop before and decided that (at least for the foreseeable future) we're going to be pure extension/web. Closing this until the situation changes.
