Consider implementing additional fittings that manipulate the pattern of grains flowing within altering the contained essence. For example:

Shift where the grain boundary lies for samples in a sequence of uncompressed audio grains.
Combine a few smaller grains into a single larger gain container.
Split larger grains into smaller units.
Combine or split grains by semantic grouping, such a combining single picture grains into group of picture grains.
