[Question] Meaning and precise limitations of "Store not present"

I don't understand what "Store not present" means. I am running this program on Linux and am unable to create parsers for most of these stores, but it's not clear to me why. How are tools like Heroic able to integrates games from these stores on Linux while steam-rom-manager can't?
