Combination Play - anyone got it working

Hi, I have tried the example combinationPlay exactly as its presented but cannot get anything to play.
I am using software serial and successfully had the player working.
Using the same software serial setup as before, the player now does nothing.
I have tried placing my three audio files in the root directory, plus in folders named DY, ZH or XY, and nothing plays,
In the example given, there is no mention of specifying a folder. Is that where I'm going wrong?
Sorry, I'm pretty new to this stuff so an still learning the correct syntax for addressing the board.
