Android: Barcode scanner freezing on wakeup from sleep

We are having an issue where the scanner freezes on android after wakeup from sleep. All app state is up to date and should allow for scanner to be on, but all we see is a picture of the first thing the camera sees on wake up

Version:

• 6.18.2

Repro:

• Set up scanner
• let the screen go to sleep with the scanner on
• reopen app

Expected behavior:

• Scanner reopens as expected

Observed Behavior:

• scanner freezes on the first screen from wake up.
