This is a good reminder on not overdoing the invitation list for a meeting. Something I would consider is also revisiting the agenda midway through the meeting to list out the remaining items and check if anyone is no longer required for the remaining items. Sometimes the invitee does not want to stem the flow of the meeting and will remain to the end of the meeting although not required.
