This repository contains the material for the SAP TechEd 2023 session called SID 115558 - "SAP System Management with SAP BTP and SAP Landscape Management Cloud". Watch the intro session recording:
This session introduces attendees to the cloud solution SAP Landscape Management Cloud and lets participants explore its capabilities. It will walk through the solution at first and afterwards take the next step towards automatisation of SAP operations by combining SAP Landscape Management Cloud with services of SAP Business Technology Platform.
At the end of the session, you will understand how SAP Landscape Management Cloud can support you in automating and optimizing your SAP system management and you will have an idea how to consume its APIs and how to being alerted once unexpected failures in automated tasks occur.
The requirements to follow the exercises in this repository are:
- Having a free SAP-account which you can create at the top right via of www.sap.com
- Having a 30 day free trial account of SAP Landscape Management Cloud which takes around 5 minutes to provision
- Having a 90 day free trial account of SAP Business Technology Platform which takes around 5 minutes to provision
- Having access to your email inbox.
For following the tasks, no particular knowledge in any programming language is required. Scripts will use Python as programming language and deploy these within the SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry runtime, but you will be taken through the exercises step by step.
At any point in time when walking through the exercises, feel free to provide feedback and ask questions. You can use the GitHub Issues for any topic around this tutorial. For product feedback, you can use the "Give Feedback" icon inside SAP Landscape Management Cloud which is located at the top right of the shell bar. This will be reviewed by our product management and user experience experts.
