Member cannot open "general" channel (TypeError: Cannot read property 'split' of undefined)

Description:

when members open the chat-windows (google chrome) they cannot open the general channel, but other channels work.

There is an exception in the browser console: see below.

deleting the local index db from chrome and refreshing the page solves the issue temporarily. After a while the issue comes back and one has to delete the local db again.

Server Setup Information:

• Version of Rocket.Chat Server: 0.57.3
• Operating System: Ubuntu 16.04
• Deployment Method(snap/docker/tar/etc): snap
• Number of Running Instances: 1
• DB Replicaset Oplog: active
• Node Version: v6.11.2

Steps to Reproduce:

don't know how to reliably reproduce this. we use oauth for authentication. and some hubot scripts are enabled. No other modifications have been made.

Expected behavior:

Members should always be able to join the channel.

Actual behavior:

The channel starts loading but no messages are shown.
