Although the extension (v9) works out of the box on Ubuntu 22.04, the dock has an ugly shadow(?).
gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock (and snapd) was (were) purged after clean install, but I don't know if there are still further steps to follow in order to have a clean/pure gnome experience.
I don't think it is an extension bug, but surely this is a proper forum to ask.
