I personally have little to no drawing ability (for characters at least), and while I'm open to the idea of using fan splash art, I have to first, look for TH & CDDA art; second, contact the authors asking for permision to use it in the mod.
Third, and most importantly, it has to be open enough to interpretation, given I haven't started with the lore/NPC stuff yet.
The upside is that there is no limit to how many splash screens can be added.
