FC15 end of line is coming soon...

Two options:

  1. FC17

  2. Some long-term supported distro, such as e.g. CentOS?

I think we shuould go for #2 if #1 turned out to be non-trivial.

Status update: almost done. Only small fixes left to do, eg:

  • qvm-sync-clock (there is no /etc/init.d/ntpdate in fc17)
  • update list of default appmenus (or at least check if all apps are still available)
  • check if DispVM is working (and maybe update dotfiles tarball)

I'm currently running fc17 template on my laptop for a number of VMs and all seems ok. I will close this ticket, and we will track other issues (e.g. ntpdate) in separate ones.
