I'm not much into installing stuff in my computer, hence I tend to prefer using portable apps.
I've been using Qalculate (specially GTK) for some versions by now, and every update is the same 'hassle': I have to open the clean app and remember everything I changed in the version I was using, for example: Fonts, sizes, colors, min and max decimals, thousand separators, dark theme with high contrast, the calculation behavior (parsed or entered), etc.
So I'm here to ask what/where are the settings files (if they exist separately) so I can copy/paste between versions; or (if there isn't an easy way) I'll suggest devs to make somehow easier updating portables.
I tried to use the CLI version, but (maybe I don't know how to use it properly ) but the settings didn't stick, so every time I opened it was on default. If someone could also help me with this, I'd appreciate a lot, because this behavior made me give up for a while CLI and stay with GTK, which I love except for its annoying slow startup time.
For anxious people, TL; DR:
Is there any easy way to import all my preferences and settings between portable versions of Qalculate [GTK]? If yes, how? If there isn't, maybe it would be a good thing to have in the versions to come.
How can I save the settings made in CLI app, so i don't get it 'default' every time I reopen it?
Sorry for my broken English, hope you can understand what I meant

Settings are saved in qalculate\user when using the zip file for Windows.
The settings are saved if the CLI app is closed using the quit/exit command or Ctrl+D, but not if closing the terminal window (e.g. using the title bar button). They can also be saved using the save mode command.

Thank you very very much!
Hanna, from what I've been reading, you're the 'main hand' in this project...
I firmly believe that there are no 'stumbles' at all about each and every function and file available in the app for you and the contributors that make Qalculate happen, but for me, one between many enthusiast 'rookies', I really have hard time every time I try to use the CLI app, because the manual language is not very easy to comprehend and apply.
I know that this is not the topic, but whenever you could, please add more examples, or write some things in another way (Remember Michael Scott from "The Office US"?
He said like: "Explain this to me like I was an 8-year-old)
Then it would be easier for the normal person to understand and use it, and finally, allow us to replace our so aged and beloved Speedcrunch (that looks and feels like CLI app, but have its settings easy to access via minimal menu) with Qalculate CLI, which I believe is faster and better.
Again, sorry for my English, hope you understand this request as something good
