Hive data not being pushed to influxdb

Describe the bug
With hive configured on home assistant, the hive current temperature and target temperature dont seem to be pushed to influxdb when influxdb is setup. I can see the variables on influxdb and then on grafana, but i only see values pushed from HA when HA is restarted.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

1. on HA set up the Hive integration
2. on HA install influxdb
3. in the configuration file push data to influxdb

Expected behaviour
I was expecting the hive values to be available within influxdb
I've tried to push the generic set of variables. I've also created value_templates, i always see the same results
