BWG 'Sp00ktober' - 2.2.0 - Patch Notes {1.21.1}

Howdy ya'll its time for BWG's first content update since release! We're back to honor our yearly tradition of Sp00ktober! We've got some fan favorites returning to the mod and some eerie new content for players to explore so lets dive right into it!

The goal of this Early Acess is for players to test out our new features and give feedback on them and bug reporting.

Some things to know for this Early Access:
-Our Fluorescent Cattails aren't utilizing the correct particles, this will be adjusted for the final release
-The Bog Trial has a bug where the mobs inside the trial arent spawning this will be fixed by release

BIOMES

PALE BOG - NEW BIOME

A mysterious and eerie swamp lost to time. The spiritual energy flowers throughout this place; however, a thick black fog covers this biome due to the presence of soul fruit. Adventurers can also encounter a new, unique Bog Trial structure that is sure to test their wits. This biome also features a brand new biome soundtrack "Eerie Presence" which I hope you all enjoy! We understand also this biome shares a similar theme and name to the upcoming vanilla biome 'Pale Gardens' and rest assured when we update BWG to that version we fully intend to integrate some of the contents of the Pale Gardens into the Pale Bog so stay tuned!

STRUCTURES

BOG TRIAL- NEW STRUCTURE

The Pale Bog has a brand new structure that functions like a Trial utilizing Trial Spawners & Vaults we hope you enjoy this experiment of ours and take on the challenge!

MOBS

Pumpkin Wards:
-Can now have a rare Pale Pumpkin head variant
-Added new Secret Advancement

-Pumpkin Wards can now gift players a Pale Pumpkin (and a new Achievement for doing so) if the player right clicks (gifts) a Pumpkin Ward with a Rose. Once the player earns this achievement, this interaction can’t happen anymore.

BLOCKS

NEW BLOCK - PALE PUMPKIN
-Can be used like a regular pumpkin food-wise
-Block does not naturally generate anywhere and can’t be found in loot chests, seeds can only be obtained via a Pale Pumpkin Block OR a Sniffer Drop
-Using a Carved Pale Pumpkin + Soul Torch/Soul Fruit will create a Pale Jack o’ Lantern that can be placed as a light source decoration
Comments:
“Well, well, well, here we are, the long-awaited Pale Pumpkin comes to BWG, and it can make a really cool decoration block, adding more utilization to the Sniffer and Soul Torches! Pumpkin Wards also have a chance of gifting this to the player or wearing it on their heads as a fun variant.”

NEW BLOCKS - GLOWCANE
-Glowcane Shoots can ONLY be dug up by Sniffers
-Shoot Colors: Green, Red, Yellow, Blue
-Glowcane behaves exactly like sugar cane EXCEPT it can be grown under the water/in the water similar to Cattails.
-Glowcane Shoots can be Grounded into Powders of their Respective Colors
-Crafting 1 Water Bottle with 4 Glowcane Powder will create a [Color] Glow Bottle
-Glow Bottles can be placed in the world as a Bioluminescent Light Source & Can be Hung as well, similar to Lantern (14 light level)
-Powders can also make Dyes (Respective to their color)
-Powders can also change the color of Fluorescent Cattails

Comments:
"ITS BACK! Glowcane will officially be returning to BWG after all these years. Glowcane can create some unique light sources and vegetation decor as well as unique interactions with the Fluorescent Cattails! We've made obtaining/farming them very unique but still easy while also giving you another reason to go find some Sniffers!"

NEW BLOCK - FLUORESCENT CATTAIL
-Can be dug up by Sniffers or found in the Pale Bog
-Will function like Cattail Plants
-Cannot be used to craft Thatch
-Can be 'dyed' by Glowcane Powders
-When FULLY grown, players can right-click a Fluorescent Cattail to color it using the glow can powders (red, yellow, green, blue). Once dyed, it cannot be undyed or changed color, breaking it will drop a regular, uncolored Fluorescent Cattail.

-Will emit a medium light source (12)
-Will emit firefly-like particles

Comments:
"A new unique plant block that can add some amazing biome/build ambiance for murky swamps & magical lakes. Fluorescent Cattails may receive additional interactions by the time of release, so stay tuned!"

NEW BLOCKS - SPIRIT WOOD SET
-New wood set for this biome
-Functions normally
-Has flowering and non-flowering leaves
-Emits a falling leaf particle as well
-Also contains "Spirit Roots" blocks as well

Comments:
"This wood set is a super pretty and ominous color that adds to the biome and allows for some really awesome fantasy builds"

NEW BLOCKS - SOUL FRUIT

-New fruit/fruit block that grows on Spirit Trees in the Bog. It can be used to create various blocks/items such as:
Soul Torches, Pale Jack O’ Lantern, Pale Mud, and Invisibility Potions. It can also be eaten for hunger, but doing so will flash the player with blindness and play spooky sounds.
-Nutrition: 4
-Saturation: 0.35F
-Soul Fruit will emit spooky wailing noises and a full grown fruit will emit bright purple particles to help players indicate where it is
-Will grow like all of our other fruit blocks, this will specifically grow from Flowering Spirit Leaves and can only be grown on Flowering Spirit Leaves
-Soul Fruit NOT placed by the player will cause Darkness in a 25-block radius XYZ for 60 seconds (essentially infinite until broken)
-Soul Fruit cannot be picked up and grown somewhere else, once you break it, that's it! So be cautious as to where you want this fruit and where you don't there is no take backs!

"Soul Fruit is a new, unique fruit exclusive to Spirit Trees in the Pale Bog, it can be used for a variety of uses and adds some variety to potion ingredients as well! The goal behind this block was to add optional ambience to the biome so that players could customize their bogs to fit their needs within the fog like clearing the fruit around their base but leaving it in the rest of the bog to essentially hide their base from players!"
